About Parkos

Parkos is the platform for finding - and booking parking spots near airports. When Parkos started we were offering parking spots at Schiphol. Now, seven years later, we are servicing hundreds of thousands of customers at airports all over the world, such as The Netherlands, Belgium, France, the United States, Spain, Italy, Sweden, Australia, and Germany. Our customers go to the Parkos website, compare and then book a parking spot with one of Parkos' 1000+ parking partners. Parkos is expanding and we are currently looking for a Financial Controller. 

About the role and team

Parkos (HQ based in the Netherlands) is a fast-growing platform for airport parkings. We have grown more than 100% year over year in the last 5 years. The next step for Parkos is to be world's No. 1 platform for parking providers at airports. To be able to reach that goal, finance’s goal is to ensure best accounting and finance practices as well as assist all departments in strategic decision making. Due to growth, finance is currently focused on streamlining and automating existing processes, implementing new processes, and making ourselves audit proof. 

Responsibilities

  • Accurate and timely financial reporting on monthly, quarterly and yearly basis

  • Performing flux analysis and account reconciliations to ensure proper accounting

  • Pro-actively monitoring and creating new internal controls to ensure internal and external compliance with tax and financial audit requirements

  • Assisting in implementing new financial processes and tooling to streamline and automate operations 

  • Build relationships with the business with a view to improve overall cost-base efficiencies and enable effective decision making

  • Closely collaborating and coaching-on-the-job of a financial administrator to ensure completion of month end close

  • You will report directly to the head of finance and be part of a growing team

Your profile

  • Bachelors in Finance, Accounting, or Controlling, or Bachelors in another field with a Post-master Accountancy (Ra, CPA)

  • Skilled with Excel and preferably Exact Online

  • Go getter with big ambitions for both your career and personal development and desire to be part of a fast growing company

  • Knowledge of Dutch GAAP-standards is a plus

  • Desire to work in a hybrid environment with the option to work from home, our new Amsterdam office, or our Groningen office

  • Three to five years of financial experience, preferably with a mix of experience between public accounting and industry
